Buffalo is like this design incubator where you have inexpensive living, great culture, great arts and these creative people who are able to just live comfortably and work on their craft.

CXXVI has some of the best tag designs ever, I wish I could just buy one of everything so I could have all of the tags (and clothes). About to place an order for this hooded sweatshirt too…

Love this type treatment, was actually thinking of doing something similar for the DesignDetox header (still a work in progress).

Dieter Rams’ work in the Undercover (no website?) store in Tokyo. Their new line of clothes, SS/10, was inspired by his work, using the motto “Less is better”.

I’ve been sketching and thinking on the phrase “I Am East Coast” for quite some time now, as a reaction to sticking to who I am and where I’m from while living on the west coast. Yesterday, I decided to see if the domain was available, it was, I bought it. I thought to myself “Now what?” — fashion line! T-shirts, bags, accessories…who knows, haven’t got that far yet.
Stay tuned for updates.

One, I love the work of OneTwentySix. Two, I love their clothing/accessory line CXXVI. Three, I want to be like them.

Truly Inspirational.

It seems as though the bar within the design world is constantly being raised, and as of late—it’s being raised by young designers. With that said, I need to shed my own personal light on the guys of Onetwentysix. They’re a full service creative studio based in Port Jefferson, Long Island. Based on their location and their style, it’s hard not to picture the two of them designing away aboard an ancient pirate ship. Their work has a very natural feel to it, it somehow combines a modern aesthetic with visual cues and tendencies from an era not their own. The bottom line is, it works, and I love it. I haven’t come across a body of work so truly inspirational as I have with these guys. With QCS being the beginning of where I want to go with my design career, I will continue to look at these guys as a benchmark for inspiration.
